My Interview with Mikaela from "A Place Like Me In A Girl Like This"!

Hello everyone!

I wanted to share this fun collaboration interview I did with Mikaela from the blog A Place Like Me In A Girl Like This. Much like me, two of Mikaela's main interests are travel (she has also worked as an English teacher abroad in Korea) and literature, and that love inspired her to create an interview series on her blog called Books Love Me. Since she started, she's interviewed some really interesting people for it, as well as for her other interview series, Language Loves Me. I really recommend taking a look around her blog! I love reading about her experiences, especially since we share a lot of the same interests.

As you can tell from the interview, I love reading. Now that I have more free time, it's become one of my favourite pastimes again. This year I'm trying to read 25 books, and so far I've read 16. It's tough to pick a single favourite from the books I've read this year, but I really enjoyed: The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane, Mister Pip by Lloyd Jones, and In My Father's Den by Maurice Gee. You can see some of my reviews for these books on my goodreads page. If you like reading too, why not add me on goodreads? I really enjoy seeing other people's recommendations on there, and I find it fun to post my thoughts about novels as I read them!

I've had a pretty busy week this week, so right now I'm going to head to bed with the novel I'm currently reading, Haruki Murakami's The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. I found that book in my apartment when I first moved in almost two years ago, and I swore I would read it as I'd heard great reviews of it, but I'm only just getting around to it now! Time really flies. Until the next post!

- Annabelle.
